Enjoy a leisurely train ride through the heart of Central Pennsylvania!
Excursions take passengers on a one-hour, nine-mile roundtrip through rolling hills, farms, and forests. Steam powered trains depart northbound from the historic Orbisonia Station along our narrow-gauge mainline, originally constructed in 1872. Take a true step back in time and enjoy a ride on America’s oldest operating narrow gauge railroad.
Diesel Days
To allow our crews to conduct scheduled maintenance, steam will be unavailable on select days each month throughout the season. Vintage diesel locomotive M-7 will pull all regularly scheduled trains on the following dates:
- June 14th
- June 15th
- June 16th
- July 26th
- July 27th
- July 28th
- September 8th
Motive power is subject to change.
While we always recommend advance reservations online, if space is available on the date of departure, we do accept walk-up reservations. If you wish to purchase at the ticket window, we recommend arriving no later than 1/2 hour prior to the train’s departure.
