Train Excursions

Enjoy a leisurely train ride through the heart of the Central Pennsylvania! Excursions take passengers on a scenic 1 hour roundtrip through rolling hills, farms and forests. Take a true step back in time and enjoy a ride on America’s oldest operating narrow gauge railroad.

At this time, we are only releasing our planned dates of excursions, tours, and special events. Fare and schedule information will be available gradually over the coming weeks, so keep watching our social media and website for the most up-to-date information. Announcements will be made when tickets are available. In the meantime, mark your calendars and start planning your next visit to Rockhill Furnace!

While we always recommend advance reservations online, if space is available on the date of departure, we do permit walk-up reservations. If you wish to purchase at the ticket window, we recommend arriving no later than 1/2 hour prior to the train’s departure.

Classes of Service

Enjoy unobstructed views of the Aughwick Valley from these open-air cars. Standard Class features bench-style seating that faces outward.

Ride the rails like a member of the train crew aboard one of our historic Cabooses. You can reserve one caboose for up to eight passengers, perfect for families or a group of friends!

The Orbisonia Parlor Car was the exclusive car of railroad executives as they toured their railroad. Today, you can experience the trip just as they did.

This car does not currently have any scheduled dates of operation.

Enhance Your Trip

Step into our belt-driven machine shop and explore the other half of the EBT story. Our incredibly historic shop complex and roundhouse are a one-of-a-kind glimpse into our industrial past.

Enjoy a nostalgic tour aboard an antique electric streetcar past historic industrial ruins and steep mountain narrows alongside the picturesque Blacklog Creek at the Rockhill Trolley Museum.
