Train Rides

Quick Details

Enjoy a leisurely train ride through the heart of Central Pennsylvania!

Departing from the historic Orbisonia Station, you’ll follow the same route once used to transport millions of tons of coal from mine to market through the rolling hills, forests and farms of the scenic Aughwick Valley.

At the far end of our 4.5 mile excursion route, your train will reverse onto a “wye” (think of a three point turn in a car, but with a train) and turn around completely for the return journey back to Orbisonia. Here, you’ll make a brief stop at the Colgate Grove Picnic Grounds where passengers have the option to disembark for an extended layover and return on a later train.

Back in the Rockhill Furnace Railyard, your train will traverse another “wye” and make a stop to allow Rockhill  Trolley Museum ticket holders to disembark and walk a few steps to continue their experience with a ride on a vintage electric trolley car! Finally, you’ll roll through the EBT’s historic shop complex before arriving back on the platform of the Orbisonia Station.

Diesel Locomotive Notice:

Motive power is always subject to change.

While we always recommend advance reservations online, if space is available on the date of departure, we do accept walk-up reservations. If you wish to purchase at the ticket window, we recommend arriving no later than 1/2 hour prior to the train’s departure.
