History Relived

Discover the “incomparable national treasure” that is the East Broad Top Railroad’s historic shop complex with an immersive guided tour! Whether you’re a railfan, a lifelong machinist, or simply a curious history buff who loves to peek behind closed doors… we have an experience for you!

Because the East Broad Top was built ‘narrow-gauge,’ with rails only 3′ apart rather than the standard 4′ 8.5″ width, the operation had to be entirely self-sufficient… resulting in the construction of an extensive shop complex to maintain the railroad’s fleet of locomotives and cars.
Completely frozen in time, those buildings and the machinery inside still exist today, allowing visitors a one-of-a-kind chance to be immersed in late 19th/early 20th-century industrial history in a remarkably intact way.
