Put on your Halloween costume and join Charlie Brown and Snoopy on the Great Pumpkin Patch Express! Ride the train, play games, pick the perfect pumpkin and more!

It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is a classic American Prime Time Television special from 1966, based on the famous comic strip PEANUTS™ by Charles M. Schulz. You’ll enjoy a train ride to the Sincere Pumpkin Patch where you’ll disembark to meet Snoopy and Charlie Brown, participate in a variety of fun activities, and every child will take home their very own Perfect Pumpkin.

Train Ride to the Sincere Pumpkin Patch

Trains depart northbound from the Orbisonia Station for a scenic train ride through the rolling hills, farms, and forests of the Aughwick Valley pulled by a century-old steam locomotive! Passengers have the choice of reserving accommodation in enclosed coaches, open-air cars, or in a historic caboose!

Aboard the train, you’ll enjoy a reading of Charles M. Schulz’s “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” before arriving at the Sincere Pumpkin Patch. On the return journey, every child will receive a Certificate of Ridership. 

The Sincere Pumpkin Patch & Charlie Brown's Game Alley

Passengers will disembark at the Sincere Pumpkin Patch where they will spend the next one hour and thirty minutes exploring Charlie Brown’s Game Alley, meeting Snoopy and Charlie Brown, and picking out their own perfect pumpkin. Activities include…

Children and adults alike are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in the Costume Contest, prizes will be awarded corresponding with every train departure!

Food Vendors & Beer Van

A variety of food trucks will be available throughout your time at the Sincere Pumpkin Patch with delicious food and beverages available for purchase.

Additional Information

For your convenience, we will have restrooms, baby changing areas, and a first-aid station available for all guests at the Sincere Pumpkin Patch and the Orbisonia Station.

Please allow for one-half hour for the train ride to the Pumpkin Patch, one hour and thirty minutes at the Pumpkin Patch, and one-half hour for the return journey. The total duration of this activity is two hours and forty five minutes.

Strollers are permitted at the Orbisonia Station, onboard the train, and at the Sincere Pumpkin Patch. Collapsable strollers are recommended to assist in the boarding process.

Pumpkins are automatically included in each child ticket (ages 2-12). Adults may purchase a pumpkin when reserving tickets or at the ticket window, subject to availability and while supplies last.


Each departure of this event will offer at least one wheelchair-accessible car, featuring a hydraulic lift capable of accommodating up to 600lbs. Please use the “Wheelchair Seating” customer type when reserving tickets online, or call our station directly to book tickets. Other members of the same reservation may be accommodated in the same car if booked under the same reservation.

The Sincere Pumpkin Patch is located at a natural picnic grove, and while we have constructed compacted gravel walkways and boarding platforms, not all areas will be accessible to those using mobility devices. There are no paved walkways at the Sincere Pumpkin Patch.
