Accessibility
Due to the historic nature of our facilities and equipment, not every EBTF experience is ADA-accessible. However, we make every reasonable effort to accommodate visitors with mobility concerns or requirements. Please contact our ticket office PRIOR to booking any experience if you have questions regarding the accessibility of an event, ride, or experience
Train Rides:
Currently, we offer at least one wheelchair-accessible train car on most public excursions, equipped with a hydraulic lift. All other historic equipment is not wheelchair accessible. This lift can accommodate up to 600lbs. and wheelchairs of a standard width. Wheelchair users can ride in the same section of the coach as the rest of their party. Wheelchairs with wheel locks or powerchairs with brakes are recommended due to the rocking motion of the train.
When booking an online reservation, if this car is available on the desired excursion, the customer type “Wheelchair | Enclosed Coach” can be selected to indicate that a member of your party will use the lift and remain in their chair for the duration of the excursion. For those wishing to use the lift to access the train but would transfer to a standard seat, please call our station directly to reserve your tickets.

Guided Tours:
Access to our historic shop complex for wheelchair users and those with mobility challenges is provided by a modern golf cart equipped with a folding ramp. This service can be requested by calling our station directly before your visit or inquiring with our ticket office upon your arrival.
While some parts of the tour, such as the wooden floors of the belt-driven machine shop, are wheelchair-accessible, other areas may require navigating over gravel surfaces, door thresholds, train tracks, and similar obstacles. The golf cart helps visitors move between buildings, but these factors should be considered when purchasing tickets for a guided tour.
Rockhill Trolley Museum:
Transfers are available for wheelchair users and those with mobility challenges from East Broad Top Railroad train excursions to Rockhill Trolley Museum rides upon request. Please contact our station for more details.
Service Animals:
Trained service animals who are actively working and performing a service are permitted aboard any EBT train or guided tour.
