About Your Upcoming Visit to the East Broad Top
We’re looking forward to seeing you as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of tourist service on the East Broad Top Railroad. The first tourist trains ran on August 13, 1960,in conjunction with that year’s Orbisonia-Rockhill Furnace Homecoming and Orbisonia’s bicentennial festivities. This year we’re celebrating the purchase of the railroad by the new EBT Foundation, Inc., which is committed to restoring the railroad to operation.
If you plan on touring our machine shop and roundhouse, please leave your flip-flops in the car and wear closed-toe shoes with sturdy soles. This event will take place rain or shine, so check the forecast in case an umbrella is appropriate.
